Topshop opens in Brisbane. Good or Bad?

There has been a lot of noise recently about Topshop opening in Brisbane this coming December. And it’s a done deal; the old Borders residence on the corner of Elizabeth and Albert Street in the CBD will be the fashion retail giant’s new home. PLUS it will be the largest Australian store yet.

But all hullaballoo aside, it’s got me wondering… what do our local fashion boutiques think about this?

What about our favourite independent boutiques like Littlelace and Verge in Elizabeth Street Arcade or Princess Polly and around the corner on Adelaide Street? Will they will be affected?

What do you think? Is Topshop opening in Brisbane great to attract new shoppers to the CBD… or a nightmare for independent boutiques? Let us know in the comments!
