The Ripped Jean

The ripped jean has been a wardrobe staple for a couple of seasons now, proving it’s worth as the perfect trans-seasonal piece time and time again. It’s one of our favourites because we can get away with wearing ripped denim all Winter long, even in the depth of July, when our friends down south and across the seas have no chance with any piece that shows an inch of bare skin. Lucky us, I suppose!

My favourite thing about ripped denim is you can style them SO many different ways. Whether you’re heading out to a casual BBQ, a romantic dinner date, to the grocery store or a special event, ripped denim can work every time, as long as you style it right!

A cropped blazer and killer heels make a great combo for a night out, as does a feminine top and big earings. For a casual day time affair, opt for a basic tee and statement necklace or brogues and a chic scarf for a comfortable, yet stylish, look. I think a “how to style ripped jeans” post is in order?!

7/8ths, baggy, boyfriend style, distressed, acid wash, black skinny, cropped, cuffed and high waisted – we love them all, the bigger the rip the better!
