Brisbane based jewellery and accessory label Saralli have been brightening up our world since their official launch mid 2009. With the recent announcement of their participation in the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival and their generous donation to our Surprise Fashion Sale – we felt it was timely to check in the label and see what was new in their fashion world!
From the label:
Brisbane based jewellery and accessory label Saralli has been announced as the only Queensland accessories label to become a finalist at this year’s Debut at Fashion Exposed held in Melbourne Exhibition centre held from August 29th – 31st 2010.
Debut at Fashion Exposed is held twice a year and is a great competition for emerging apparel and accessory labels where hundreds of hopefuls from all across Australia and New Zealand apply to be handpicked as one of the 12 finalists selected for the event.
Saralli Design is a Brisbane based fashion fabric and textile accessory and jewellery label that incorporates an eclectic combination of beautiful fabrics and trims in every piece. These limited edition pieces are designed, crafted, sewn and assembled individually by hand in their Brisbane studio.
Owner/designer Sarah Williams launched her label Saralli in June 2009 at the Young Designer Markets in Southbank, Brisbane. After almost a year finding its feet as a new niche accessory label, Sarah has now set her sights further from producing amazing one of a kind fashion accessories and has launched her very first miniature collections, which are currently being sold in a handful of small boutiques in Brisbane.
These three collections “Luna Lovers”, “Madame Medusa” and “Sunna Sundae”, launching in May 2010 are inspired by unique ancient goddesses mixed with current themes and fashion trends. Saralli is currently stocking in four boutiques in Brisbane – all three Thousand Island Dressing stores, and currently collaborating with tailor made accessories to Sacha Drake’s current collections in her flagship store in Paddington.
Sarah sees this next step for her small business as a huge achievement and opportunity. To be on show in Fashion forward Melbourne, up against four other hopefuls from across Australia is a great achievement in itself, but to win this competition and gain a free stand at the next Fashion Exposed Trade Show event in 2011 will help to spread the brand nationally.
