Let’s talk New Years. What are you doing, where are you going, who are you going with…what are you wearing? (Oh god, what am I wearing). These are all questions I’ve been asked within the last few days I have no idea the answers to. Except maybe what I’m wearing – a gal always sort of secretly knows… all this, and I haven’t even wrapped my Christmas presents yet. Oh dear.
If you’re like me (stuck), you could be just an instant away from the turn-around moment. Here’s a roundup of a few Brisbane NYE events and there’s a high chance you are very much likely to adore! Bring in the New Year in true BT style. Fabulously, that is.
OTTO Ristorante | Queens Street
A four-course Italian menu cooked and curated by Head Chef Will Cowper. Our signature Story Bridge will look radiant as you sip your Champagne on arrival and ring in 2018 with class.
Eleven Rooftop Bar | Ann St
Ride the elevator to the stylish rooftop haunt Eleven Bar for a Garden of Eden themed NYE Party. Guests will enjoy four hours of free-flowing Perrier Jouet Champagne, Asahi and other signature cocktails. They’ll be DJ’s, aerial acts and fireworks at 8:30 and midnight. VIP Booths also available, with personal waiters and private city views.
Covent Garden | Boundary Street
Earlier in the year, we wrote about a little oasis opening its doors in BT backyard territory, West End. So, to wrap up the year that was you can most certainly celebrate it at the Covent Garden’s Gin Fizz and Champagne Party. It’s a four-hour drinks and beverages package (read: PIMMS and Aperol Spritz)
BYBLOS | Hamilton
Five and a half hours of premium beverages, live entertainment, delicious Mediterranean food and two firework displays courtesy of Portside Wharf. Divine.
Gusto Da Gianni | Hamilton
Another yummy Italian style menu. Four-courses with your own choice of main and entrée. Dessert is a warm chocolate fondant and homemade orange marmalade gelato. An epic last supper.
Moda Events | Hamilton
NYE at Moda Events means burlesque dancers, free-flowing champagne, a chocolate fountain and dessert buffet. It’s a five-hour package that includes music by a Special guest DJ, Nicky G.
Ps. Portside Wharf will also offer a complimentary mini shuttle bus service from Portside to Eagle Street Pier via Fortitude Valley from 12:30 – 2 AM (!!!) Which brings us to the next NYE destination…
EAGLE ST PIER
Jade Buddha & Shadow Lounge | Eagle St
Salsa your way into the new year, with dancing set to continue right into 2018 at Jada Buddha. The food and drinks package includes skewers and sliders and Thai Bucket cocktails…
Aria Restaurant Brisbane | Eagle St
Taittinger champagne, a three-course menu and five choices per course. Spoil yourself rotten with an Aria dinner as you watch the midnight fireworks over the Story Bridge.
Price: $165pp. or $225 with matching wines
Sake | Eagle St
A celebration is always stylish at Sake. Their NYE festivities will include all their signature Japanese classics from the a la carte menu and an exclusive range of cocktails. Table sitting will include a set menu and glass of champagne at the special hour.
Stokehouse Q | Stanley Street Plaza
Stokehouse will offer their esteemed patrons a choice of two sittings this New Years. Opt for a 6 PM sitting with three courses and champagne with compliments. Expect the same from the 9 PM but with an extra course and you’ll have the table into the New Year as well. Ps. Southbank fireworks will well and truly be visible from this vantage point…
Price: $195 or $225pp.
