Welcome to the 2013 Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane! This year will see the festival return to the newly refurbished Brisbane City Hall on a run way designed specifically to show case, not only the best of Queensland’s home-grown designers, fashion retailers and emerging talent, but the beauty of our very own City Hall auditorium.
For those of you that are new to MBFF let me give you a quick lesson; since it’s inception in 2006 MBFF Brisbane has become recognised as Australia’s pre-eminent fashion event launching Spring/Summer collections and Queenslands standalone major runway programme. Different to industry-only events, MBFF is consumer driven, directly promoting the local fashion industry by spotlighting new season collections as they drop in stores. This means that if you see something you like, you can hit the stores straight away and shop the collections.
With so much to look forward to BrisbaneThreads is here to guide you through the six days of fabulous fashion festival must see and dos!
