A/W Fashion for Brisbane

Although us Brisbane folk never have to truly rug up for Autumn/Winter a la Melbourne and their trench coats, faux fur and leather gloves, we still need to revamp our wardrobe a little as the season changes, especially if you’re like me and Brisbane’s cooler months do actually give you a chill.

Whether you rug up for necessity or to take every opportunity to wear your favourite trends, it’s time to talk A/W fashion now that March is well and truly here.

We talked about our beauty routine changes last week over here and discussed all the products you need to tackle the change of season. So this week, we’re talking wardrobe changes and the new collections that are in-store at The Myer Centre in this very special three-part collaboration and giveaway… now I’ve got your attention!

To celebrate the new season, we’ve put together some of our favourite looks inspired by the trends that are trickling down from the international catwalks and street-style queens of London, Paris and New York fashion weeks. They’re the style mavens of A/W fashion, setting the tone for the coming season, and we’ve got it all, right here on Brisbane Threads.

Enter the winter cape, wide-leg culotte and turtleneck sweater! We’ve taken our favourite trends from the new-season A/W collections and made them work for us everyday gals in the sunshine state who need something a little warmer, but not OTT. I mean, it’s hard for us fashion-savvy folk who can’t always partake in the trend of the season because of our geographical location.

So we’re here to help, with three winter looks perfect for good ol’ Brisbane.
