11 Instagram-worthy Brunch Spots

Welcome to our guide to Brisbane’s best brunch spots!

Each of our Top 11 are gems in their own right , doing brunch a little bit differently, a little bit unique, and 100% delicious.

I apologise in advance for my southside and city bias, so comment below with your favourites to the north, east and west of our fabulous city and we can all venture outside of our local area to enjoy culinary greatness from early morning to mid-afternoon, and everywhere in between.

Paw Paw Café

Paw Paw Café is something special! The food is fresh and undeniably tasty, especially the Israeli breakfast, corn fritters and avocado toast with poached eggs. You can also check out Paw Paw’s newly opened little sister – Little Pawpaw – at Kedron.

Cnr Potts and Stanley Street, Woolloongabba

Pompidou Café

European-inspired food with Mediterranean ingredients. What would I order? Coconut French toast with caramelised mango cheek, blueberries and coconut ice-cream OR honey roasted pumpkin, pancetta & feta Bruschetta OR chickpea and carrot pancakes with hummus, labna, wilted spinach, chorizo and a poached egg. Talk about a tough decision!

216 Riding Road, Balmoral

Flute Fine Food, Coorparoo

Worth every penny, even if you have to wait in line to experience the signature breakfast dishes and generous serves at Flute. You must try the chocolate brownie milkshake!

380 Cavendish Road, Coorparoo

French Twist, Bulimba

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but you really can’t go past the little café that is hidden in the backstreets off Oxford Street, Bulimba. Iced tea with a side of eggs anyone?

5 Corio Street, Bulimba

French Twist

Abode Café

A yummy feast, great coffee, beautiful décor and homemade takehome goodies is what Abode Café is all about. They also endeavour to make everything from scratch.

30 Hillsdon Road, Taringa

Kiss the Berry

Cruise on over to the Eagle Farm markets on a Sunday for a healthy, ‘wonder berry’ acai bowl and smoothie. Think a berrylicious original bowl with organic coconut and chia seeds sounds like our thing? We are excited to announce they have just opened up shop on Creek Street in the city, which will be Brisbane’s first acai and smoothie focused store.

Another gem in the Paw Paw Café family, Picnic Café serves up tasty breakfasts and baked goods in a picnic-theme setting complete with colourful bowls, candy-striped straws, mason jars, wooden picnic boards and a changing specials board.

 12 Martha St Camp Hill

Apples on Ainsworth

Apples on Ainsworth is one of many brunch spots with delicious vegetarian and vegan options, as well as some meaty goodness. Try the haloumi stack with organic sourdough, avocado, haloumi, roasted tomatoes, pesto, pepper and lemon or the Canadian special – bacon and banana smothered in maple syrup.

The Rabbit Hole Café

The Rabbitt Hole Café is a family-friendly café focusing on suburban home-style cooking. Savory muffins, eggs in every way possible, combo deals and a child-friendly play area. Need I say more?

Leaf Espresso Bar

Damn good avocado smash, fresh fruit salad, organic bacon and a cabinet stacked with takeaway delights are all available inside the wooden walls of cosy Leaf café.

Deedot Coffee House

Lots of coffee and all day breakfast. What more would you want from your local brunch spot? Deedot serves up old school jaffles, home-cooked spicy bakes beans with chorizo and breakfast burgers, just to name a few.
